BloomBaby:
Nourishing Your Baby's Feeding and Developmental Journey
Every baby’s journey is a unique process of growth and development—much like a flower blooming over time.
The BloomBaby name reflects my commitment to helping babies thrive as they transition through important milestones.
Just as a flower blossoms with the right care, love, and nourishment, I aim to provide the tools, support, and expertise that allows your baby to flourish during this crucial phase of life.
Meet the Founder
Emily Daigle
OTR/L, C/NDT
Emily is a licensed occupational therapist with 10 years of experience. She received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. Emily has experience in treating patients of all ages in the outpatient, school system, home health, and hospital settings. During her 5 years at Texas Children’s Hospital, she was able to combine her love of pediatrics with the medical complexity of the hospital setting. She worked closely with children on gaining independence with daily tasks, such as eating, playing, dressing, and bathing, in preparation for their return home following prolonged hospital stays due to surgeries, brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries. For the past year, Emily has focused on supporting infants and young children with feeding challenges, head shape issues, and developmental delays, providing care directly in their home environments.
Emily is certified in Neuro Developmental Treatment (NDT) for the management of children with cerebral palsy and other neuromuscular disorders. She expanded her skills and completed the NDT Baby Handling Course focusing on the specialized treatment of infants (0-12 months). She has experience in the evaluation and treatment of feeding and sensory disorders in the infant and young child. She also completed training in the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to feeding which focuses on the oral, sensory, motor, cognitive, and emotional developmental milestones needed for feeding. Emily has experience assessing and treating infants and young children with visual deficits from birth or following an acquired or traumatic brain injury. She is skilled in managing vision problems through compensatory strategies as well as utilizing direct intervention to encourage play, exploration, movement, and development. She is a Child Passenger Safety Technician and is certified to provide child safety seat checks and educate caregivers on safety guidelines for all car seats and booster seats.
Originally from Thibodaux, Louisiana, BloomBaby has always been Emily’s dream. She is thrilled to be back in Baton Rouge, close to family and friends and ready to bring this dream to life. SheI truly believes that early intervention is essential to helping infants reach their full potential and she is grateful for the opportunity to support families in South Louisiana. Grateful for her professional and personal experiences in Texas, she is proud to be back home.
